MM Associates Ltd (MMA) is a small but well-established
consultancy specialising in providing risk, safety and business
support services to companies across the Defence,
Engineering, IT and other industries. The company was
founded in 1994 by Martin Mays, initially focused on offering
the Project Risk Management (PRM) expertise that Martin
had built up since 1985 (when he started to specialise in the
subject during his period in MoD). Since then, MMA has
added Product Safety Management to its portfolio, and has
responded to a range of ad hoc requests from Clients in
business support areas such as strategy formation and
requirements capture. The company has grown through
forming relationships with a number of Associates, each an
expert in his/her specialism. This approach enables MMA to
react flexibly to Clients' requests for support.
The essence of what we offer is intellectual insight. For
example our PRM work investigates and analyses your
projects, forming our own view of the risk (and its priorities
and implications) on the basis of our experience as well as
what your people actually say. In this way we add critical
value, rather than providing "a man with a checklist" tasked
with playing back to you the views of your own personnel.
Thus, we offer a high quality, independent service that adds to
the effectiveness of the risk analysis work you conduct in-
house. We do not replace your in-house capability: we
augment it by contributing an impartial view and our own
unique insight and skills.
