We define a project as any significant undertaking your organisation embarks upon
with the intention of securing a goal.

Examples of a "project" include:
• Bidding for a contract to design, manufacture or support a product or service.
• Undertaking such a contract once a bid has been won.
• Taking over another company.
• Agreeing a joint venture.
• Merging two departments.
• Introducing a new IT system.
• Procuring a major element of infrastructure.
• Closing a site, or opening a new one.
• Embarking upon a new enterprise or line of business.
• (Importantly) your business as a whole.

There are many other examples.
