As you approach a critical juncture of your project, there is considerable value
in obtaining an independent view of the strengths and weaknesses of your position.
Such "critical junctures" include:
• issuing your bid for a new project;
• making commitment to a major project change;
• being ready to meet/satisfy the criteria of a major project milestone.
Our experience across many projects, and our well-practised independence, means we are
particularly well suited to perform this service.

Every situation is different, and the form the independent view should take must match the
need. Examples of the services we can provide include:-

We can fulfil the "red team" role in relation to the documents you have prepared to support
your readiness to proceed with the bid, change commitment, major milestone or other critical
juncture. We can:
• review the suitability of the documents and the readiness they describe;
• identify potential weaknesses in your readiness as documented;
• identify potential weaknesses of the documents regarding persuading other parties (your
customer, your corporate principals etc) of your readiness;
• suggest possible changes;
• act as a "sounding board" to validate your ideas for changing the documents to address such
weaknesses.

We can undertake a thorough "readiness audit", in which we will investigate the position
regarding your project through interviews with your people and review of your documentation.
We can assess any or all (depending on the circumstances) of:
• your project goals as documented (ie, for appropriateness to the critical juncture you are at,
for completeness in addressing stakeholder interests and for clarity of definition);
• any requirement to which you are responding (ie, for any ambiguity and openness to
interpretation);
• the compliance of your proposed way forward with these goals and requirements;
• the completeness, depth and viability of your plans;
• the thoroughness of your budgeting;
• the suitability and adequacy of the organisation, roles, responsibilities and resources you
have planned to deploy;
• the processes and procedures you have in place to underpin your proposed way forward -
and the tools and techniques necessary to support them;
• preparedness in terms of all the formal disciplines required to underpin the robustness of the
processes and procedures (for example project management, requirements analysis,
integrated logistic support, reliability & maintainability, human factors, human resource
management, risk management, safety management etc);
• cultural factors that may bear upon the success of your proposals.
Our conclusions in respect of the above will be captured in a Readiness Report, together
with our recommendations regarding addressing any weaknesses found.

We can take a less formal approach, sitting with you to talk through your plans and asking
questions that will explore their suitability on a systematic basis. We can feed back our
observations interactively, and (if you wish) through a subsequent report.

Our company can field personnel with the qualities needed to deliver these services:
experience, independence, a questioning outlook and proven insight.
