MMA asserts that risk management is necessarily an integral aspect of project
management. In line with this philosophy, the assistance MMA can give at the risk
reduction implementation stage is limited to:-
• Facilitating the proficency of your project team members in taking the necessary risk
reduction action and fallback planning.
• Providing training in implementing risk reduction as an integral part of project management.
• Monitoring the effectiveness of the action taken (in the the course of the investigation
undertaken during the ensuing cycle) - noting that risk is dynamic, changing with the
project's evolution and with the influence of management activity, and so the risk
assessment needs to be cyclic.
